A Day in the Country

1h 29m
In 1962, four and a half hours of outtakes from A DAY IN THE COUNTRY were given to the Cinémathèque Française. In celebration of the centenary of director Jean Renoir’s birth in 1994, filmmaker Alain Fleischer helped the Cinémathèque edit selected portions–including audio of Renoir directing the action on-screen–into the 89-minute film UN TOURNAGE À LA CAMPAGNE, which is presented here in its entirety.
