In another motion-control shot, the camera dollies in slightly on the stupuorous twins as they engage in a bizarre birthday celebration. To compensate for a slight change in camera angle during the move, the split had to be panned slowly as the shot progressed. Footage from the videotape reveals the rough on-set split. Jeremy Irons performs Elliot “live” on the right against his prerecorded take as Beverly.
