Lovedolls Superstar

Director Dave Markey’s sequel to his DIY punk classic DESPERATE TEENAGE LOVEDOLLS continues the story of the all-girl band Lovedolls as they return for another outrageous adventure through the weirdo fringes of the LA underground. Even more ambitious and out-there than the original, LOVEDOLLS SUPERSTAR spares nothing and no one—from “Brews Springstien” to feminism, religious cults, and punk rock itself—in a demented, acid-trip satire of fame and the absurdity of American pop culture.
