Jake Scully (Craig Wasson), an unemployed actor, is asked to house-sit a luxurious apartment in the Hollywood Hills. When Jake discovers that another man is also spying on Gloria, his interest flares into obsession. Soon a grisly murder leads him into the world of X-rated film, where porn queen Holly Body (Melanie Griffith) may hold the key to the crime.
