Welcome to New York

A sex-addicted French financier, a fateful hotel-room encounter, and a scandal that would rock the world. Inspired by the downfall of Dominique Strauss-Kahn, WELCOME TO NEW YORK follows a prominent international banker (Gérard Depardieu) as he spirals out of control during a drug- and sex-fueled trip to the U.S., culminating in a shocking crime and his subsequent arrest. Pushing his trademark themes of power, corruption, and compulsion to their limits, director Abel Ferrara offers a fearless portrait of a man whose wealth and privilege cannot save him from himself.
